Fabio Capello could hardly have picked a better draw for his England team as we are pooled in Group C with the relatively unknown Algerians, European minnows Slovenia and the potentially tricky USA.

Our tournament starts against the Americans on Saturday June 12th with a kick off time of 19.30 (BST) then we move on to face the Algerians on the following Friday at the same time and complete our group matches with a 3pm start on Wednesday 23rd June against Slovenia. If England progress to the last 16, they may face Germany from the very difficult Group D or even a soccer Ashes test against the Aussies.
The tournament has thrown up a number of fascinating ties and combinations. All the big teams will be glad they escaped the group of death with Brazil, Portugal, North Korea and The Ivory Coast fighting it out together, while Holland and Spain will be delighted with their path to the latter stages.
All the action starts on Friday 11th June as the hosts entertain Mexico, followed by the unpredictable French against Uruguay. The Sports Cafe is the only place to capture the real spirit of the tournament and is the unofficial home of the World Cup in Britain.
